Well, I turned 25 on Saturday, July 22. Birthdays just aren't what they used to be. I remember all of the anticipation and opening of the presents and cake! And my mom always put the birtday sign on the door and the Happy Birthday table cloth on the table. Great memories! This past few years have been slightly different than that.
Heston took me out to dinner on Friday night and then we went over to some friends house till late. Saturday morning we slept in. I got phone calls from all my family on Saturday so that was nice. Heston bought me a bike and a dozen roses and gave me a really sweet card.
My little brother flew in last night and he brought me gifts from back home. He got me a scrap book for my cat that I REALLY wanted, and my sister got me 2 pairs of cool earrings. My mom sent me the matching canisters for my Pfaltzgraff set - I am so excited to set them up!! I also have some birthday money to spend so I am looking forward to that!
Thank you everybody for the presents!
I made myself cinnamon rolls instead of a cake. They were wonderful! Eat all of this junk food now because in a few weeks I am going on a diet!
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Kelli! Wow, 25, I still don't feel like I'm that old. It is weird how it all changes as you get older. I don't know what I thought would happen, it's not like my mom will come see me just for my b-day anymore. . .oh well, at least we have good memories! We're leaving on Wed. for Rae's wedding, I'll be sure to take pics to show you!
Happy Birthday! You have 2 1/2 years to catch up to me. You are right, birthdays aren't the same anymore. It is kind of sad growing older-facing reality... :)
kelli, did not for get you on your b-day we'll go shopping when i comme up:)!!
Happy Birthday to you too! Sounds like you made out with all your gifts. I do agree, it's not like it used to be, when you're little, you just can't wait for your birthday to even come...Ah those were the days.
Happy belated birthday old woman! :) Those cinammon rolls sound so yummy. Ah, for the days of sleeping in on Saturdays! I'm glad you felt so special and loved on your bday!
Elisabeth: Have fun in Florida! Please tell Rachel Hi for me and congratulations! I can't wait to see pics!!
Jocelyn: Ah, the realities of being an adult...sometimes I wish I could go back to the "care-free" days. I guess we have to grow up sometime! =)
Mom Frey: You bought me an early birthday present. I can't wait to use it on vacation! Thanks!! =) See you in a week!!
Shannon: Thanks for the birthday wish!
Alicia: The cinnamon rolls were yummy! They were from scratch, but I didn't have to let them rise or anything. I also found a mock recipe for cinnabon cinnamon rolls...I am going to have to give those a try!
Happy Birthday! Cinn. rolls is a great idea instead of a cake. Birthdays when you are older are just not as exciting as when you were young. Kudos to Heston for the roses! What a thoughtful hubby. :)
Happy Belated B-day!! And yes, I do remember you! SOrry for the delay in responding to you! LIfe has been a little hectic, as you can see from the posts!! I hope that you had a wonderful day.
Happy Birthday! I was about to say your cake looked great, but then I read you didn't have one. :-) I know what you mean about b-days... my 25th is coming up soon and doubt I'll do anything special for it. It's no fun when you have to be the one putting up all the signs and decorations... Mom's are great. :-) Anyway I'm off to enjoy the hot weather in a nice cool pool, so I'll chat more later. Have a great night.
Happy 25th, Kelli! Your birthday festivities sounded great!
Kelly, Happy belated birthday!!!~ Best wishes for a wonderful 25th year!!!

Happy Belated Birthday! Thanks for your comments on my digital scrapbooking. There are a ton of links I can give you for digital scrapbooking websites. Just type in "digital scrapbooking" into Google, and it will pull up a ton. However, the place with the best tutorials is www.digitalscrapbookplace.com. You would love it. You need some sort of program like Photoshop. Let me know if you get ready to start up, and I will give you some more information, as well as some books I have on it.
I have been looking for sites like this for a long time. Thank you!
