Hello Everyone! I am really not sure if anyone still reads this blog anymore. If you do, leave a comment. I have been a horrible blogger since we moved here to PA about 2 1/2 years ago.
So, in the last 6 months since I blogged, what has happened?
Well, let's see...in August 2009, my "baby" brother, Colton (18) moved in with us to go to RACC to study Business.
We bought a boat that we keep down in MD. Fun times! Amazingly it cost less than my first car =)
I started a new job at the same company in September. I go into Berks County schools and provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments, run in-school support groups, assist in interventions, give presentations, and communicate with concerned parents and caregivers. I really enjoy it!
Heston unfortunately became unemployed at the beginning of September, but God has been incredibly FAITHFUL and we have somehow always been able to pay our bills even though it doesn't seem possible. God has and continues to teach us many lessons. We are waiting to see what doors the Lord will open up, but we KNOW He has not forgotten about us!! God has blessed us with amazing friends and family. Their encouragement and support is amazing!
I graduated with my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from LBC on December 18. My entire family came to PA for the occasion and it was SO FUN to all be together!! My husband threw me a graduation party =) Call me crazy, but I really do miss being in school. My husband is happy to have me home in the evenings now that I am finally done with my internships, which I have been doing for almost a year and a half. Now I am studying for my National Counselor's Exam which I will be taking in April. The end goal is to become a Licensed Professional Counselor.
It was so fun having my whole family here and we had an early Christmas with them. And my mom and my sister got to stay for a few extra days =)
We had a wonderful Christmas with the Frey family and it was only the 2nd Christmas of our 6 1/2 years of marriage that we woke up in our OWN HOUSE!! It was great!
In January Heston turned the big 30. I threw him a surprise party and invited all our friends and family. I was able to pull of the surprise and it was so much fun!!
God continues to show Himself to us. We are truly blessed by a wonderful church family and so many friends living mere blocks away =) So fun!
I will try better to keep up with this blog.
And what post from me would be complete with a picture of Phoebe =)
